Dogs playing together in the surf at sunset

The Oregon Coast is made for slowing down. With miles of open beaches, lush coastal forests, quiet waterways, and charming small towns to explore, it is the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy a little fresh air. And when it comes time to plan your getaway, there is one very important family member to consider: your dog.

Luckily, Pacific City is a fantastic place to bring your dog along for the adventure! At Kiwanda Coastal Properties, we offer a variety of pet-friendly vacation homes so the whole family—including your four-legged companions—can enjoy a relaxing stay on the Oregon Coast..

Are Dogs Allowed On The Beach?

Of course! Just like their humans, dogs are welcome to prance, play, and enjoy the sandy beaches here in Pacific City. It’s a great place for your pup to stretch their legs and soak up some coastal fun right alongside you.

Please help keep the beach enjoyable for everyone by picking up after your dog and keeping them leashed or under control at all times. Be mindful of other beachgoers, wildlife, and fellow four-legged visitors, and give everyone plenty of space to enjoy their day by the ocean.

Can Dogs Go To Cape Kiwanda?

Cape Kiwanda welcomes dogs, just like the other beautiful beach areas around Pacific City. It’s a great spot to explore with your four-legged companion, but if you plan to hike up the cape, we recommend keeping your dog leashed.

The shifting sand, steep slopes, and dramatic cliffs can make the area unpredictable, so a leash helps keep your pup safe and close by. Please also be mindful of other visitors and wildlife while you explore, and enjoy taking in the incredible coastal views together.
