Kiwanda Coastal Properties: Supporting Local Communities Through the Kiwanda Community Fund
Established in 2020, the Kiwanda Community Fund was created to connect vacation homeowners, guests, and our local team with organizations doing meaningful work in South Tillamook County. The Fund provides a simple, intentional way to give back to the place that so many of us—STR owners, visitors, and locals alike—care deeply about.
Since its inception, the Kiwanda Community Fund has distributed over $30,000 to local nonprofits in just five years. These contributions reflect a shared love for this stretch of the Oregon Coast and a collective desire to help it thrive.

How the Kiwanda Community Fund Works
The Fund gathers donations throughout the year from several sources:
- Owner Contributions
Some property owners donate directly or choose to allocate a percentage of their rental income. - Guest Donations
Guests are invited to contribute when booking their vacation stay—many appreciate the opportunity to give back to a place that has given them so much. - Matching Contributions
Kiwanda Coastal Properties matches select donations to help maximize impact. - Holiday Gift Alternatives
Contributions are made in lieu of traditional client gifts, turning gratitude into community support.
2025 Beneficiaries of the Kiwanda Community Fund
This year, we are honored to support the following organizations:
- Tillamook Animal Shelter
Providing shelter, medical care, and adoption services for animals while promoting spaying, neutering, and community education. - South County Food Pantry
Offering essential food resources to local residents every other Tuesday in Pacific City. - Tillamook Estuaries Partnership
Restoring and enhancing wetlands, improving watershed health, and raising awareness about invasive aquatic and plant species.
Expanding the Fund in 2025
Many short-term rental owners—and their guests—share a strong sense of gratitude and attachment to this special part of the coast. The Kiwanda Community Fund exists to help channel that appreciation into tangible support for the community.
We’ve worked to introduce new tools that make it easier for guests to contribute during the booking process, and more owners are committing to ongoing monthly donations as a percentage of their rental proceeds. These updates are designed to grow both the reach and the impact of the Fund in the year ahead.
Looking Ahead
At Kiwanda Coastal Properties, community involvement isn’t an add-on—it’s part of who we are. We’re grateful to work alongside owners and guests who care deeply about this place and value the opportunity to give back.
We look forward to continuing—and expanding—these efforts in 2026 and beyond.
